Second life reflection

1. likes and dislikes
: Totally, I like second life better than Oovoo video conference, because second life don't require many materials, such as Web cam and headset. Game's environment looks like classroom, so seems to real class. I can control virtual avata. Avata can seat the chair and can see the chalkboard. This is very funny things.
Dislike thing is that I can't concentrate the class. When do video conference, teacher can see me. I can concentrate the class, such as nod my head and eye contact. But, second life don't use web cam.

2. Second life is use for this situation, such as serious natural disasters and can not participate in class situation. When student bored about class, teacher can use second life, because this is intertesting class to students.

Oovoo videoconference

I think video conference is very good things! (for teaching and etc.)
In each members home, through the computer, can talk that is amazing.
I think video conference seems to be useful in this situation, such as situation can not go to school and a disaster situation and etc.
But, people must have headset and webcam and etc. If people don't have headset and webcam, people buy headset and webcam. This expense is worst thing about video conference.

Things to consider

1. Briefly discuss the reasons for using interactive exercises with learners.
: Interactive exercise is used to speech learning. Student can learn while they say english. When use interactive exercise, student's attitude and the surrounding environment is very important. On the assumption that student's attitude and the surrounding environment is good, Students to learn through talk will be more efficient. Interactive exercise is talk to other people (use english), when student say something wrong (grammatical and pronunciation and something) other people can easily revise wrong. Student can easily learn about english and make understand about their's wrong and acquire new information.

2. What is an authoring tool and what can they be used for?
: The authoring tool mean is used to create Web content is a wide range of software. And the authoring tool when creating software without using a common language provides the convenience of users to help develop the software is software. Documents and data, including software that can create all the software is called the Authoring Tool.
The authoring tool a combination of text and graphics and audio data to represent the application is mainly used to.

1. Briefly discuss how you can use the blogs, wiki OR podcast in language teaching.

: Blogs and wiki and podcast can be used in language teaching methods are many. One of the mothods is post on their's blog about their's think about today's class and Assignment submission. And students can scrap in the other blogs that have good contents. Students can be use effectively the blogs.
Also wiki and podcast can be used in language teaching. Especially podcast is very useful. Podcast is can raise their's voice on the website (podcast). Students can record their's voice and listen,too. Also teacher can listen student's voice and give teacher's advice on pronunciation and something.

2. Discuss the difference between a blog and a wiki.

: Blog is use personally, but wiki is can be used a group (several people can use personally or with together post in wiki and revise their's contents). In the case of blog, an contents for posting on the blog only I can delete and modify the contents. But, wiki is other people (Even to strangers to me) can delete and modify the contents.
blog is suitable for private use. Because only for their own space.But, wiki is suitable for team project. Posing on the wiki, other people can delete and modify the contents. Therefore, as a team project and team working is wiki better than blogs.

: This site is mainly watching videos and listen the music and voice files. The site of many countries where people's favorite. Therefore, This site (youtube) is have many files of many countries voice files and music and movie, etc. youtube got a lot of files in the teaching materials there are a lot of useful material. In addition, students to study alone is an easy site. in order to learn, language listening process is also very important. Therefore, in many ways to students, this site will be a positive site.

2. Blogger / Blogspot (http://www.blogger.com/)

: Blog is google, as well as many other sites are also used. Therefore, the students to have access to a lot of blogs. Blog to learn how to take advantage of good information posted on other blogs to their blog as scrap and class assignment  related to the contribution of my own ideas, etc. is to be. Blog use method is not difficult. So, Student can easily use the blog. (post something on blog and scrap other site's good materials.)

Midterm

This class has helped me overcome my fear of writing skill and Obsession with the correct answer to say that.

One of the most important thing in this class seems to be writing skill. To express my thoughts on the writing skills, this class seems to be important. Before listening to this lesson, the Internet and information retrieval and etc were fine to me. However, writing one of my weaknesses. Do not know a lot of grammar and vocabulary and I’m so worried about classes were initially quite concerned about the writing. I’m still not good writing. However, compared to the past does not have to worry about writing. I watch that other students reported an article posted on their blog and I use a little their’s expression. Although important to care about grammar, to express my thoughts it seems to be important.

And my strengths is to make good use of the Internet. This benefit will be used well in the webquest.

The best part in this class, I don’t have to concerned about my answer is wrong and correct. Korea’s most class wants the right answer. So my opinion is correct or not always cares about. But, This class is respect my opinion. Even if my opinion is not correct and opinion is not fit to topic. I can speak freely is to the good.

1. How can the internet be used as an access point to real-world knowledge which our learners may lack?

: Learners can learn unfamiliar part of the lack of knowledge through the Internet search can be obtained. our real-world and the Internet is fairly tight. As well as a computer or MP3 phone enough to make the Internet. Real-world and Internet is very close. Currently, many people do not know the information has been acquired over the Internet.  On the Internet, picture and music and text. there are many materials. Due to a wealth of information, students can understand you do not know the data will be easier and more fun.

2. What is the methodology for creating and using webquests?

: Webquest create methodology is research and analytical and word processing skills.
To create a webquest, search the Internet and to quickly and accurately find resources. And cast a critical eye over the resources do find when searching. And use a word processor to combine text, images and weblinks into a finished document. In my opinion, the most important skill is research skills. Word processing skills and Analytical skills is basically everyone can do is easily. But, research skill is require some special skill.

Charles Kelly is written texbook and made websites related to study ESL and EFL. This website is designed to teach something and sutdents can use this website for alone study (study without teacher). This website’s content is reliable and factually correct for study english students. This website is sometimes update something (not update daily). This website is provide vocabulary and reading and grammar and listening & speaking materials for free, but materials is not verify (This website is not contain many materials to students). And also used this website to cellphone. This website page is very past load quickly and not use large life and other technologies like Flash and java. So, people can use this website more use easily than other sites. I think this website for only beginners. Because this materials too easy to not beginners.

1. Consider the causes of technophobia and suggest ways to overcome it.
: technophobia is people can not keep up with new technology is undergoing stress. I think technophobia is look like grandfather and grandmother (older adult). 21century, now, new technology products continue to come out. But, grandfather and grandmother (older adult) can't adapt to this. Because of new technology products is too difficult and complicated to use grandfather and grandmother (older adult).
Therefore, in order to adapt to it they need the help of young people (well use technology products). Since they using new technology products to the training should be well.

2. What are the basic skills and equipment that instructors need in order to start using technology in their instruction?
: In order to start using technology in their instruction, especially most important thing is capable of using computer , word processor , Internet , etc. First, most important thing is capable of using computer. Internet and PPT is very important, but computer literacy is most important. After your computer is well-covered, use internet and word processor , etc.
Internet have many materials and it can help instructors. When instructors can well use word processor and PPT, it will be more helpful class to students.
